M.A., 2021 ONCJ 531<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parenting \u2022 Best Interests of the Child \u2022 Parenting Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Counsel:<\/strong> Parveen Malik, for the Respondent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ms. Malik acted as counsel for the Respondent in a parenting dispute involving allegations concerning the child\u2019s safety and the continuation of in-person parenting time during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Court considered the evidence relating to the child\u2019s best interests and the circumstances relied upon in seeking restrictions on parenting time. Kaur, 2025 ONSC 3399<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Spousal Support \u2022 Immigration Sponsorship \u2022 Interim Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Counsel:<\/strong> Parveen Malik, for the Respondent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ms. Malik acted as counsel for the Respondent in a family law proceeding involving spousal support and the impact of an immigration sponsorship undertaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ontario Superior Court of Justice considered the parties\u2019 respective financial circumstances, the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines, and the significance of the sponsorship undertaking in determining interim spousal support. The Court awarded interim spousal support of <strong>$1,150 per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision provides guidance concerning the consideration of immigration sponsorship obligations in the context of spousal support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reported decision:<\/strong> <em>Meen v.
